About Us
John, a lifelong fisherman, began his angling journey at park lakes in Birmingham, England. He soon became involved in the match fishing scene, but his passion for carp fishing flourished when he moved to Spain. His love for the sport took him to some of Europe’s best fishing destinations, including Ireland, the Netherlands, and France, where he pursued carp. He has even fished for carp in South Africa.

Since relocating to Thailand, John has fished at many of the country’s top lake resorts, landing carp up to 139 lbs and Mekong catfish over 300 lbs, along with impressive arapaima.
Noi, a retired schoolteacher and fluent English speaker, has been married to John for 17 years. Together, they lived in Roi Et before moving to Kalasin, where they both taught. Noi’s welcoming nature ensures every guest at Maybreeze Fishery feels right at home.
